Katharine Mulherin and John Pollard met at a New York art fair in 2006 and have been friends ever since. They recognized that they share a similar background as artists who became gallerists to create community in their respective cities. Both Katharine Mulherin Contemporary Art Projects (Toronto, Canada) and Pollard’s ADA Gallery (Richmond, Virginia) feature artists with both emerging and extensive careers, whose works engaging, intelligent, collected and honored.
After operating in the Chelsea area of New York for one year, the gallery relocated to the Lower East Side on Freeman Alley (off Rivington Street between Bowery and Chrystie Streets). Our mailing address and extra entrance is at 187 Chrystie Street.
